Ok so i didn't get the bike back together last night, but all the wires are connected and everything seems to work great. Tonight's job will be to secure all the wires and clean up the bike a bit before i put everything back together.
I spent a lot of time messing with the rear fender trying to get it just right, and it's still not perfect but it's on there straight enough for me. Turns out if i used the template they supplied for drilling my fender i would have ended up with two holes in my tail light. The only other issue i had was with the rear blinkers, i'm not sure if there's supposed to be a nut to hold them to the fender or not. There wasn't any supplied for it, so i think i'll just make a quick run to the hardware store at lunch time and pick up a pair of lock nuts.
For anyone thinking of putting a dual-sport kit on their bike i highly recommend the baja designs kit. The instructions went step by step through the entire process, which was very helpful, especially when it came to connecting all the wires together.
Tonight's challenge will be to put the bike back together without having too many spare parts.
